Engine Claim Rule New for 2011

Crate Drivers may now claim another Drivers Crate Engine

A. Driver must have driven in the same race as the Driver who’s engine they wish to claim.

B. The claiming Driver must have finished the race and placed in the top 4 of that race.

C. There can be no backward claims in any race.

D. A Driver may only claim a maximum of two (2) engines per full racing season.

E. Claiming Driver must surrender their own engine to the Driver that they have claimed an engine from.

F. Only Driver may make a claim for an engine (no crew members, owners or spectators)

G. Claiming Driver gets and gives up engine only (you get only what comes with a new Crate Engine from GM)

Cost of claim is $2 000 for a 602 and $3,000 for a 604 engine.

Driver must make claim at the time he crosses the scale.

Claims must be paid in cash only and be paid within 15 minutes of the Official end of the race.

If normal race ending track technical inspection reveals either claimed or surrendered engine is illegal then the claim becomes null and void at the legal drivers choice.

If both engines are found to be illegal then the tracks choice is to void the claim by all parties.
